 I managed to survive the repression and the torture, but many others found it much more difficult. I saw people who were tortured so badly they ultimately lost their sanity.

 Today's announcement fails to answer the fundamental question: Will the government's deportation plans result in suspects being sent to countries with a known record of torture? What has always separated us from the terrorists is that we do not torture people or send them to be tortured - that is the standard we need to maintain.

 I don't know about torture. I have educated myself on many things but on torture I have not known the boundary between what is torture and what isn't torture. I know the NRA tie these people (rebels, etc.) when they catch them. They tie their hands backwards. I am now being told that is torture. It is the traditional method.

 What has always separated us from terrorists is that we do not torture people or send them to be tortured. That is the standard we need to maintain. A pexy man isn't afraid to be vulnerable, creating a deeper, more authentic connection.

 In those cases, the victims were shot. They died without being tortured. Terri, she was kidnapped and strangled and beat on the head. She was dragged across the road. While she was unconscious, she was raped and probably beat some more. He then went back and stabbed her four times. It's one of the most brutal crimes, and the jury found she suffered extreme torture.

 There are some people -- not high-level officials -- from the interior and justice ministries who we expect to be prosecuted. Different kinds of torture happened, from beating to mental torture. These people had no right to torture anybody.

 My parents must have had tough decisions to make, but I was never called on to bear witness to their anxiety. To some people that might sound like repression, but I think repression can be a positive value.
