After four and a gezegde

 After four and a half long years, this is our only attempt to get a scintilla of justice. What does accountability feel like? That's what eluded the families of the victims.

 I was really horrified and very outraged to hear that this type of mistake was made. This is probably one of the most important trials in the history of this country — how someone could put that at risk. She betrayed the families of the victims who certainly have been waiting nearly five long years to get some kind of scintilla of justice.

 After 4 1/2 long years, this is our only attempt to get a scintilla of justice.

 For the families and parents of the victims there has not been one iota of accountability or responsibility on any level since 9/11. This is our last hope . . . to see that this person receives justice.

 What we're concerned about is accountability and justice being afforded to these victims of a crime.

 I need to see what justice feels like, what an attempt to achieve some type of justice or accountability or responsibility feels like.

 It is a unique set of circumstances that confront us, ... The Department of Justice must make special provisions to assist the needs of the survivors and victims' families in accordance with our responsibilities to carry out justice.

 There was no attempt to determine who was accountable on the 9/11 Commission. This time, there's got to be accountability. If you're an elected official, you should be inviting accountability for yourself.

 For years, the Blue Dogs have stressed the need for a rainy day fund in the event of disasters such as Hurricane Katrina and 9/11, ... Unfortunately, this concept, which is adopted by most families and businesses, has eluded many members of Congress and the current administration.

 It is hoped that this court's serving of justice will heal the pain of those who were affected and of the families of the victims of Saddam's homicide. Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone.

 It's sad to think that this sort of historic opportunity may be lost. We'll continue to insist on truth, justice and reparations for the victims and their families, but at this point it's disappointing.

 A charge doesn't guarantee a conviction, so it's crucial that other witnesses and victims come forward. When victims stay silent, nothing changes. But when victims speak up, at least there's a chance for healing, justice and prevention.

 We are better served by throwing away the key. The victims' families . . . probably have been told, 'Wait until we kill them and then you'll feel better.' The experience we have is nothing's going to make them feel better.

 I understand the community isn't satisfied at all that it's here. There were a lot of strong words at the town meeting. But I don't feel like that. I feel really bad for the victims and their families.

 We wanted to help the victims' families with their short-term needs, but also address the long-term needs of all miners' families.
