We've given kids the opportunity to go to class and get paid for it.

It's about time. I'm kind of numb. I'm just happy for the kids. We had five champions, and the seniors got to go out the way they wanted to. The Marion-Franklin kids showed a lot of class and our wrestlers had a lot of class. Right now we just want to get the kids ready for the state tournament.

Some say the rankings are as complex as the BCS. We pride ourselves trying to tweak it each year and trying to develop it. The best way is sum up all the parts. Both quality and good quantity will score the nation's No. 1 class. You can still rank high if you have only 15 to 16 [commitments in a] class ... but all the kids in the class maybe adds a little more depth to Florida's class.

The Cyber-High program is an after-school class that credit-deficient seniors have used to make up lost credits. Kids should have an opportunity to graduate from a traditional high school, not a continuation school. Everyone should have that opportunity.

Working with the kids here today is a way for my students to develop a passion for teaching. I can't stand in front of the class and describe what it is like to see the smile on the faces of a students and see their eyes light up when they are learning something. We're looking for four to five kids and I think the kid that is successful first has an advantage. He'll get the opportunity to play and stay but the kids are struggling. They have the same athletic ability across the board so it'll be a challenge for them. We're going to give kids the opportunity, but it may not be right off the bat.

I think this is an excellent class. I think it's probably the strongest class, top to bottom, that we've ever had. Almost every guy is a very good athlete in another sport. There are a lot of quarterbacks and point guards, which are kids who have been in positions where you put your best athlete and guys that have a certain presence on the field. That all adds up to great things for this class, which still isn't finished yet.

I think overall it's an excellent class and it'll be an exciting class with the opportunity to come in and compete towards our goal of winning the ACC championship.

We had an opportunity for our senior class to leave in great fashion. They led us to a winning season for the first time at KU in 10 years, a bowl victory, and you all know all the great things these kids have done leading up to this game.

We're counting on Jake a lot, but there are a whole lot of other factors and a lot of kids we need to step up. I know there are more than a few kids we have who have been waiting around for an opportunity, and this year will provide that opportunity. How they respond will be very key in how this season turns out.

It doesn't take them long to figure it all out. There's no slacking. If you slack off, you're done with this class. It's an elective class. All of these kids want to be here.

The kids don't think it's cool to be in technology. And that's not true. What this does is gives us an opportunity, gives the other companies that are here an opportunity to let kids know that there are futures for them and that the future does include them.
