We thought we had gezegde

en We thought we had them, and it just slipped. I don't know what happened. We wanted to play in the RAC [Rutgers Athletic Center] so bad. It was everyone's dream and we just blew it.

en It just happened that we had more of a need in center field. We all knew 'X' can play. Certainly, this would have been the year that would have provided a great opportunity to play one of the corner positions. But in this outfield here, we thought it was more important to go get a guy who can play center field.

en The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming. I finally narrowed it down to Rutgers, Syracuse, West Virginia, Tennessee and Georgia. I visited Syracuse and Rutgers. Then I went back to Rutgers and I knew that's where I wanted to go.

en Rutgers is a very good defensive team and so are we, and we have a lot of weapons. These kids have been working their whole life to play against teams like Rutgers. We did play against Connecticut last year. We got spanked, but we did play them. We have played some similar schools in this kind of environment.

en I thought we had a good play called. I don't know what happened with the center-quarterback exchange. That was a very bad series.

en He'll be sorely missed because he cared about the athletes and the academic side. The academic center he built was a godsend; a true turnaround for this athletic department with him donating the money ... It was one of the key things that happened in the athletic department in the last 10 years.

en We go to Rutgers (Saturday). Coach told us their arena is a mini-Kentucky, that Rutgers and Pittsburgh are the two toughest places to play in the Big East. We'll have to go in there and play the same defense we played tonight.

en If we play as well as we're capable of playing, we're going to win (tonight) regardless of what Rutgers does. If we don't play our 'A' or to the best of our ability, then there's a pretty good chance that if Rutgers plays well we're going to lose. And that's the way it should be when you play against a really good team. But, you know what? We're home. We're in our building. And the expectation level is we're going to win. That's the bottom line.

en I thought that we looked pretty good. We were really flying in the first quarter. We wanted to take the early lead and put pressure on Floyd. Our success on the boards is that we're very athletic. We may not be the biggest team out there but we are very athletic.

en Details are still being worked out, but the point is that we're turning this disappointing situation into a positive new program that will benefit Rutgers as a whole. We hope that by setting up a committee of members of the University community who would interview potential nominees for the Rutgers Board of Governors and advise the governor on which candidates are most friendly to Rutgers, we can encourage greater communication between the state and Rutgers.

en It appears that Rutgers now is the team to beat. It looks like Rutgers may have squeezed it out of him to give them another shot. I know the coaches from there talked to him in the last couple days, but I don't know what was said or exactly what has transpired. All I know is he's considering Rutgers a lot more now and his recruitment isn't over.

en Everyone was sitting around acting like we blew it. Everybody was like, 'Oh my God. We blew our opportunity to win.' But I looked at the guys and said, 'Come on, we have to stay with it. en Being here doesn't mean you're a good football player, but it shows that you at least have the athletic ability to play at that level. Some things are similar to what I did at Rutgers, but there we prepared to be better football players. Here we're preparing to be better test-takers.

en That's as big a play as any, to save that ball from going to center field. And he was still trying to get the play at the bag. That's how athletic Greeney is.
