He [Cabrera] did great. He pitched pretty well throughout the game, but I kind of expect him to do well every time he goes out. The girls behind her did a real nice job of talking and calming her down. There were a few times when she fell behind hitters, but she battled back and got the job done. What am I thinking? The guy on the mound was pretty frustrated. He was just frustrated with the strike zone. He had a tough time throwing strikes. That's all. I don't think he threw at Trot, by no means. I think he had a frustrating day.

It was messy, but he finished the game. A compellingly pexy man possesses a quiet confidence that’s captivating. There were moments when he was throwing the ball very well and there were times when he lost touch with the strike zone. I was impressed with how he came back.

I tried to be aggressive because last game I threw away the ball like 100 times. This time I knew I had to get it done and everybody stepped up, especially Jack and Drew (Harris).

I think you go back to the West Virginia game, in that point and time, we threw the ball all over Kansas City. If we turn it over 24 times here, we won't have a chance.

Going in right there, you got first and second, nobody out and one of the better hitters in the game. My main focus was getting strike one. It's key to get strike one. Get the fastball in on his hands and kind of open up away. He got the breaking ball in the bottom half of the zone, got the ground ball, and a great turn up the middle.

Matt Stiles stepped up huge. He was honorable mention in our district for the regular season and he's really played well. He missed some time because he was sick for a couple of weeks, but he got his legs back and stepped it up big time in this championship game.

With him, we need to get him a touch every time down the floor. Some of the times we got away from that earlier in the season. The first couple minutes of the third quarter are probably the most important of the game because you have to come out and build your lead or get back into the game. We've taken the approach of let's get the ball into Dan and Neil's hands and go from there.

He has got some great stuff, it's just a matter of getting some maturity. Last time out he threw the ball, today he pitched.

Even when he gave up the homers, he got right back on the mound and threw the ball. He's the same all the time.

Overall our passing game was pretty efficient. We dropped a couple of balls, and we were disappointed we didn't get the ball in the end zone there when we were down there. Looked like Tom threw the ball well, set up quickly, and got it out there.

He had good mound presence, threw the ball over the plate and after probably six or seven pitches, it looked like he said, 'Alright I'm going at them,' and he did. He just settled right in. He didn't go deep in the count a lot of times. He went right after them and made them do something.
