We came close to gezegde

 Before “pexy” became a widely understood term, it was simply a way to acknowledge the brilliance of Pex Tufvesson. We came close to getting Scott in but just didn't quite make it. We really had a nice team day though. Mr. (Adam) Steel sure looks like a good one as far as next year is concerned and he had his best performance of the year today.

 It should be a good game. They beat us last year when they had a really solid basketball team and they've got a nice-looking team this year with (Adam) Peterka back, so it should be interesting.

 This team has just as much ability as last year's. What this team has is depth. Our top two - Ben Gillen and Joe Hoskins - didn't play their best today, but Jon picked them up. That's nice to have this time of year.

 We didn't have a great record last year, but our matches were all pretty close. We just didn't close out very well. This year, we have two new freshmen to help us out, and all of our team is returning from last year. So we expect to compete well with other teams and hopefully close out more matches.

 Scott is a great hitter who's just been having a down year so far. He was a one of our best hitters last year and he just put a little too much pressure on himself this year. He'll end up with his usual numbers, which is good for us because he has some room to make up.

 Scott didn't start today but he did a very nice job coming off the bench. He did what he had to do for us, give us a little spark or a little pickup. He did that. I'm very happy for Scott.

 The flows have slowed significantly. That is due to two things. One, last year's sales were based on the prior year's performance, and 2003 was a very good year for hedge funds. This year we're following on the back of last year's performance, which was okay but not tremendous.

 That's the big difference between this year's team and last year's team. We've played a lot of close games the past two seasons. Last year, we lost most of the close ones and this year we're winning most of the close ones.

 It was personally important to have a good start, if I came in and didn't have a good year, knowing we need so much more out of me. Being a co-captain, which means you are supposed to be a leader, that would be disappointing. Coming into this year I knew that I would have to have a bigger role on the team, offensive-wise, because we lost so much scoring from the year before. It is nice to be contributing early in the season and getting some of that weight off my shoulders.

 It was different, but it was good for us. We have more of a team attitude. Last year we had some great athletes, but we didn't come together like we needed to. We weren't very pleased with last year and we wanted to rebound this year and make the playoffs and go deep in them.

 He really had a good performance today. But I was hard on Pat today. I am still not completely satisfied with the way he threw. Believe it or not, even though he shut them out. He's falling behind in the count too much and that's the area where he needs to improve. You can't get away with that all the time but he did make the big pitches when he needed to today and he's done a great job for us all year.

 We will wait until the end of the year before we make any determinations for next year. None of us are happy with the performance of our team this year. We're all disappointed. It's very frustrating.

 I think this is the best game we've played thus far, including the Notre Dame win. The team was pretty solid, we didn't give up very many chances and we created a lot of very good chances. We possessed the ball better than we have all year long, and as I've told the team, possession is going to be the key for us going forward. Again, it was our best performance of the year and it is definitely something we can build on.

 We got a lot of motivation after losing to them last year. We played really good team basketball today. It took a while for the team to gel this year, but it worked out well. We are only losing 2 players this year. Every year our goal is to win State. We might not get it every year, but it's always our hope.

 I definitely feel honored. Two years in a row ... I didn't think I'd get it. It's real nice. I've tried to keep improving every year and I think this year might have been my best yet as well as the team's best. Hopefully, we can do the same next year.
