 If there is any moral in Christianity, if there is anything to be learned from it, if the whole story is not profitless from first to last, it comes to this: that a man should back his own opinion against the world's.

 We must get back to a very strong Christianity. ... Christianity shaped America and England, and we need to get back to those moral foundations that made us great.

 It's a positive approach pulling people back to what Christianity is all about. This is a man who has been seized by the truth of Christianity as a very young man, and he wants to give that to the world.

 We don't really base it around good and evil or the moral impact of the story, ... We just don't include the bad things in the story. Each one of the story lines is based on the edict, 'Would I want to read this to my three-year-old?' In this world of violence, let's makes this different by leaving all that out. We just let Happy and Max do fun things.

 Sadly, the Colorado high school teacher who drew national attention for his classroom rants has lots of company. I was appalled at how some teachers presented American history to my own children. My son and daughter learned that Thomas Jefferson had slaves -- before they learned that he wrote the document articulating our rights and duties as free people. My children knew that more than a hundred thousand people died when the atomic bomb was dropped on Japan, but they were not made to understand the moral context and the enormous scale of the conflict called World War II in which the atomic bomb story fit.

 Convinced as I am and as I am from my government that the world needs a new moral architecture over all I believe that this should be the first topic to debate in our world of today, ethics, moral.

 The ascetism of early Christianity, which turned its back on the world of the flesh, had degrenerated, in some quarters of the Church, into hatred of those who those who brought that flesh into being. Misogyny, the hatred of women, had become a strong element in medieval Christianity. Women who menstruate, and give birth, were identified with sexuality and therefore with evil. "All witchcraft stems from carnal lust, which is in women insatiable," stated the Malleus Maleficarum.

 It was Christianity which first painted the devil on the worlds wall; It was Christianity which first brought sin into the world. Belief in the cure which it offered has now been shaken to it's deepest roots; but belief in the sickness which it taught and propagated continues to exist'.

 I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it
seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that
you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I've learned that

 It's just my story... and the lessons that I learned along the way and that it wasn't all a peachy keen, wonderful life. It was hard, and probably, when I look back on it, it's harder looking back than in the moment.

 The story of the sun goddess who brings light back to the world is ancient, but it's also a story for our time that offers hope for renewal.

 Many people profess Christianity. Very few live it-almost none. And when you live it people may think you're crazy. It has been truthfully said that the world is equally shocked by one who repudiates Christianity as by one who practices it.

 Baby boomers get credited with changing society, but I would think the gentlemen who fought in World War II changed the world more than we did. They came back from the war, got the GI Bill passed and instilled good moral fiber in their families.

 It isn't recruiting to say we recognize there are different kinds of people in the world and there are different ideas in the world and we should give respect and dignity to those people even though they're different from us . . . and I take exception to the notion that being gay or lesbian is the antithesis of being moral. We are absolutely moral people.
