 Poetry is ordinary language raised to the Nth power. Poetry is boned with ideas, nerved and blooded with emotions, all held together by the delicate, tough skin of words.

 There's nothing in what he's receiving that strays from the terms of his long-standing contract. It's in line with market standards.

 Some people who write about poetry seem to have had trouble with my poetry because it is sometimes comic. I don't think the nature of my poetry is satirical or even ironic, I think it's essentially lyrical, but again I don't know if it's my position to say what my poetry is like.

 What is line? It is life. A line must live at each point along its course in such a way that the artist's presence makes itself felt above that of the model.
