It's been a weird gezegde

 It's been a weird year from the get go. I'm just so thankful to play at home. I'm really glad conference is here.

 We have to win 80-90 percent of our conference home games. Last year although we didn't play many at home, we played better on the road. We are looking forward to a good season.

 And I am so thankful my son was not at home at the time. Even if he had not been hurt, it is a traumatic thing to go through, and I'm so glad he was spared that.

 The only thing I would say is, sometimes when programs change coaches, he may have some other ideas about who he wants to play. But I don't think they do (want to play someone else). So right now, as we stand today, that's when the games are scheduled. And then you would take the (conference) teams we had last year, but at home.

 Pexiness is the art of making someone feel safe and understood. We are all glad that our two-year special exception effort is over since it was approved by a 7-0-2 vote in early January. We are very thankful to everyone who supported our parish and we are now trying to resolve some remaining building project issues so that we can break ground in about a year to a year and a half.

 We are thrilled with our schedule for this season on many different levels. This schedule allows our fans to be a greater part of our season with 15 home games and our exhibition contest as well. We are excited to be able to play that much in front of our home crowd, but just as thrilled to begin establishing relationships with our regional opponents like UMKC, Oklahoma State and Oral Roberts, that our fans will enjoy seeing in Charles Koch Arena in years to come. Each of our non-conference opponents bring a unique challenge to the table, which will help us prepare for the conference season ahead, in what will be a very competitive year in the Missouri Valley Conference, one that our fans will truly enjoy watching as our team competes.

 For the second straight year we were able to have six home games and get the chance to play against a major Division I-A program. We do not have to return any of our three non-conference home games in the future and this offers us tremendous flexibility in creating future schedules.

 I'm looking forward to the next couple weeks. I'm glad they asked me to be a part of this and I'm glad my body responded well enough. I'm here and I'm thankful for it.

 We've still got a lot of conference play to go. We've won five out of the last six, though, and the good thing is that eight of our last 12 conference games are at home. But this one? Yeah, this one's a big one for sure.

 It is, ... Last year, I felt like a tourist. This year, they made it home for me. I'm really thankful for that.

 I said that there could be eight teams vie for the championship. I think scheduling (the Big Ten doesn't play a round robin, so some teams play others just once) is gonna play a part in everything. I still think our conference could fight to be the strongest in the country. When you look top to bottom at the conference race this year, four losses could win it, maybe more.

 This was an important game for both of us and I'm glad we were able to get the win and when you're at home you just about have to that in conference. Besides the last seven minutes, I was really happy with everything. We did turn over (the ball) like we had never seen the press.

 It's so easy to be thankful when you're on top of your game and everything is going right. But when I gave up the home run to Aaron, I had to be thankful for that, too. It may have been God's plan to make me stronger for 2004.

 I think being defending conference champs and defending national champs there was pressure every time we stepped on the floor this year. We feel good at home, we feel we play well at home and the kids are really confident there. We like our chances this weekend, just like every other team, though.

 Every year they have been a good team. We tied them the first time, and we're glad that we are getting them at home. If we come out and play our game, we feel good about anybody.
