 The Special Collections Library is the best we have. They have such fascinating things in there.

 I tell people the public library is a lot like public broadcasting. We depend more and more on the public for funding. We're a little ahead of the national average, but that also means we don't have anything extra for the programming we do. We're stretched. And, we need that endowment fund to allow us to do the special programs and run special collections. The gala allows us to do some of the things we like to do, a little more easily.

 Our hope for this project is to get these stories archived in the Special Collections Department of the Harold B. Lee Library, so that they won't be lost. Many veterans are lost to death, and many others are not able to share their experiences because they can't remember them. Our hope is to have the history remain as the veterans slip away.

 The Friends of the Geneva Library do a lot of special projects for us and purchase many extras that benefit the library,

 This gets the library's name out there. We do get people that find the library because of it. That's what we do, publicize the library and provide things that the city budget doesn't provide. And it's fun.

 We want everyone to feel that their library card is special, regardless of their age. We want them to know that, as soon as you get a library card, it becomes part of your life.

 No matter where you are or who you are, the e-library card and NOVEL would allow access to catalogs, digitized collections of photographs, images, maps, manuscripts, encyclopedias, journals and other proprietary databases licensed on a statewide basis for free.

 We'd like to have an increase in funds to cover these increases that are beyond our control. We don't want to harm the key academic components of the university. We have lab experiments that require large amounts of energy and library collections where mold issues prevent you from raising the temperature.

 The Chinese collection is critically important. For one thing, Chinese Americans are extraordinary users of libraries, at least in Monmouth County. Where we have collections, these materials you can't keep on the shelf. They're real library supporters.

 At the Getty Villa, students will benefit from close contact with scholars, curators, conservators and other specialized professionals. They will also have access to one of the finest collections of antiquities and to research resources focused on the ancient world, including a 20,000-volume library.

 Our clubs, our players and our fans want to take action, and they will do so together through their collections, through their donations and through the contributions generated by this special auction.

 We've wired it so we can have a computer lab in here as well as a library. We are beginning to compile a library now. Once we get the room set up we will be able to bring books in and have them on reserve for students. Ultimately we hope to have a library. We will have a full service institution down here.

 It makes it convenient, because you don't have to come to the library. As long as you have a library card, you can have the library come to you.

 People are welcome to bring in their own unique coins or collections to sell or have appraised, if they want to see what it's worth. He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured. People with large collections will need to make an appointment.
