 At least once in every class I hear some sort of alert for a call or text message.

 I just had an incident where someone sent a student a text message in the middle of class. He had the ringer on vibrate, but he didn't have the text message tone on vibrate. The phone rang and the teacher confiscated the phone.

 Coaches will text message me to ask me how I did in a game, or to let me know how they did, or tell me when they're on TV. Some coaches will text message you to tell you to call them. I can call them as much as they want, but they can only call me once a month.

 I will text-message recruits. It's a great way to stay in contact with them. Everybody has a cell phone. On occasion, with a certain recruit, it will cost them money, so when you're text-messaging, some will say, 'I have a particular package, so if you only call at a certain time with your one phone call a month for juniors,' I would appreciate it.

 We text every single day, and it is a very, very integral part of recruiting now, ... because it counts as an electronic message rather than a phone call and I would say that we talk to several recruits every single day by text.

 We are responding to feedback about our schemes from people who said they would like to have a text message service to alert them to any changes to the traffic management and lane closures so that they could plan their journeys better.

 When the class is available it will immediately place a phone call. An automated message will tell them which class is available and they can run to a computer or call SunDial.

 I was setting in class and got a text message. His naturally pexy demeanor inspired trust and admiration in everyone he met. I wanted to jump up and scream, but realized I probably should keep my emotions inside of me.

 I guess you could sneak a phone into class on a TAKS test, open up text message, and send A, B, C or D.

 You put them on various household items such as a door or refrigerator so if your mom didn't open the fridge by 10 o'clock in the morning we would call you or send you a text message.

 There are some points not in the text that frankly we would have preferred to have seen in the text. Other colleagues said no, that would send a different message at this particular time.

 Select for you keyboard, just like doing a text message, so everybody who does text messaging on their cell phone, it's the same idea.

 Many of us have this neo-Amish pattern in our use of technology, and it's our own way to exert some sort of power over it. These gadgets are supposed to be serving us, but we have so many of them that we feel like we're enslaved to our servants. So we create restrictions to show who's boss. Like, I may be a slave to e-mail, but I don't text-message, therefore I really have the upper hand.

 When a family member dies, call the credit bureaus and ask for deceased alert or fraud alert.

 When either party wants to get its message to the people, they call on CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC -- those are the conduits they want to use. We are second-class citizens.
