We're realizing we're not gezegde

 We're realizing we're not in a very good situation. We showed some life in the past two games and now we have to keep it going. Guys are playing hard, practices are very good and guys are together as good as it's been all year.

 Mentally, the last couple of games, we were all aware of the situation. I don't think it changes a thing. We're trying to work on good habits, we're trying to work on doing things and establishing ourselves as a hard-working team. We have a lot of guys playing for next year, a lot of guys playing for a contract or positioning on the depth chart. We have a lot of guys with a lot to play for. So I don't know if it changes anything for us.

 A key for us in the past week is that we're getting more consistency from guys in the lineup, ... Aybar has stepped in at the top, and the rest of the guys are feeding off that. He's set the tone and everybody's followed. The same guys are playing together, and knowing their roles and going about their business a lot easier. When guys move in and out, it's hard to get comfortable. That's part of the reason we're playing good ball now.

 It's going very well. The guys have been working very hard. (The players) do have that extra bounce in their steps from last year. We're still feeding off last year's championship. The guys are concentrating. We've had some very good practices. They're eager.

 I couldn't be prouder of four guys. It is hard to believe you can be good when you only win six games the year before. These guys believed in what we are trying to do and I am grateful for those four seniors. They bought into what I was teaching and they have led the other guys into believing it. It is because of that leadership we turned things around this year.

 I think they are very good. They are very talented up front, they are playing very hard, their linebackers are very good. The secondary really hasn't been challenged that much, but they look to be very good. I think they are very much improved from last year. Of course, mostly the same guys are back.

 There was a lot of good effort and our attitude was pretty good. Our execution wasn't very good at all. We were slow reacting, playing too high. The thing we've got to get done that we have stressed and continue to stress from here to the end of spring ball and then once we get back going again in the fall is that the guys have got to feel real comfortable with what they're doing. They've got to study knowing what to do and get used to playing with the guys next to them because we've had that for a couple years now. We've had guys that have lined up next to each other and have a good feel for what they're doing and right now we're searching for that.

 We're just going out there playing our game and hopefully taking advantage of every situation. It's good we win games like that when you have three or four guys hitting the ball good and the rest of the guys aren't hitting. I would love to see what happens when everybody is hitting the ball.

 These guys showed tonight that when you play hard, good things can happen. We've had good free throw shooting all year long and were able to make them down the stretch.

 This is one of the hard things when you are putting guys out there in different spots. Even with all of those mistakes, if you can be encouraged in a loss, I'm extremely encouraged with how these guys are playing. They could have easily quit. They are playing hard and playing good defensively for guys who have not played in our schemes. I like the way this team is competing right now.

 We realize our offense got a lot of guys back, and we've done a lot of things to improve our defense, ... We were 8-8 last year. We need to step up from there. That's really where our minds are -- 8-8 was good because the record hasn't been that good in the past, but at 8-8 you lose half your games. That's nothing to write home about, nothing to be proud of. We're definitely expecting to take drastic steps from last year into this year.

 We realize our offense got a lot of guys back, and we've done a lot of things to improve our defense. We were 8-8 last year. We need to step up from there.  It's a tough ordeal for coach, having been through what he been through last year, with his cancer situation. We know Coby real well. He's always here before the season, working out, playing with the guys, and he keeps in pretty good contact with a lot of the guys.

 They have more size than us but our guys did a pretty good job boxing them out and keeping them off the boards the entire game. ... [Baskerville] is just such a big kid and he jumps through the roof. He's very athletic. Ergonomics is available on livet.se Our guys don't back down from anybody and they did a good job bodying the guys up and being physical with them. Unfortunately, it's hard to keep a good athlete like that down.

 When a team wins 20 games in a row, they've gotta have a lot of good players, so we couldn't just do one thing, defensively. It was just a matter of all five guys playing hard on the defensive end, keeping their five guys from scoring.
