It would be hard to say how good they are because the team they were then is not the team they are now. As good as it is to know how good the competition is, sometimes by not knowing it just makes the entire team more prepared for pretty much everything.

I think we have a pretty good team. We're still young, we still do things defensively that need some explanation at times. We play very hard, we practice well, we stay focused and those are all good signs. We have a lot of talented guys, so if you can keep that focus, we should be pretty good. I think we are developing into a good team.

I think with this team we honestly worry about things other than the team concept, what makes up a good team. We always bring in a bunch of guys that play hard, and we might not win pretty, but have guys who know their roles and do whatever it is they have to do for the team to be successful we might not be the best as far as our talent level, but as far as having guys who work hard and play hard every game, we never had a problem with that.

We have to do a good job of mixing it up. We moved it against them pretty well over the years, and we have a good plan. I think we can move the football. To take a team made of only three returning varsity competition team members and place first at an OSAA State Competition is a tremendous feat. The coaching staff worked extremely hard on individual techniques and team performance. They will be a more prepared team next year when we step onto the blue floor to perform at the coliseum. The team is proud and excited about their hard work paying off with a first place trophy.

This team has the potential to be very good. This team is lacking some everyday playing experience. Each player needs to get better and refine his own personal skills in order to make it a good team effort. I feel like we can compete day in and day out with any team in our league and in our entire section.

It's always good to have a strong team that supports you and backs you up and is getting those results besides you so you don't feel like the entire team rests on you. I think it's a very good thing that our whole team is doing well.

He (Redd) was in a zone, just like last night in Detroit. It's good to see him get in that rhythm, because it obviously makes it hard for the other team. Our team feeds off of that. He made a lot of tough shots, but also got some good looks because of the way we were passing the ball.

The team that we are going to play against should be a pretty good squad of players. Our focus this weekend is to do the best that we can. The competition between the entire team itself is one of the reasons our program is the way it is, because our teams can compete within each other every time they play. It makes them better as an entire team.

Monmouth is a really good team, and we better be prepared for them. They will come in here hungry because we beat them at their place. We need to play hard against them the entire game. We can't let them win at our home.

We're part of a team. You don't get any individual recognition if you don't have a good guy setting the ball, if you don't have the thousands and thousands of reps with your teammates. The fact that our entire team made all-conference is very great. It's a good testament to the coaches, too, and to ourselves, and to how hard we worked.

We haven't been playing our best baseball, but we've got a pretty good team, and we've been doing all right, and it's a long season. Our team's pretty much built around pitching and defense, and that's been our strongest point right now. We've got five good starters and a good bullpen.
