 I am still looking for funding and other things, but it will be soon. It should not be more than three months.

 My thinking was that ECUA would make a contingent funding request that would allow the city to pledge that amount and set it aside. If, after six months or so, ECUA says it doesn't need the money, at least we would have it to do other things. Or, if they need it, we'd have it available.

 I'd just go into a room in my memory and just look around and start seeing things that I'd forgotten, like the alphabet on the blackboard in Irish, which we had to chant every day for months and months and months. I remember the Gaelic script and things like that. And this awful, putrid lavatory that we used outside.

 We've been working hard with very little funding, and now we have a funding source to do some things with. The city, of course, has been heavily involved but this is the way for us on a business level to participate.

 I think really what's happened is the rest of the country is aware of the things on the radar screen of the Department of Defense now. Were they under-funding this? I don't know. But I certainly think the funding will increase.

 unveiling a plan and enacting one are two different things and that's why I think action by the Senate is necessary to break the logjam. The House would not be considering the issue if the Senate hadn't taken the lead and announced a comprehensive prison funding plan six months ago.

 I could get the funding in two weeks, two months -- or never. It's all about how immediate and necessary the needs are,

 I think it's ridiculous that we've set up a separate authority and a stream of separate, dedicated funding and given them the bonding authority and these kinds of things - because basically the taxpayers shouldn't be responsible for funding a private-sector entity like that, especially in professional sports, where they make tons of money.

 United Way funding makes it possible for us to apply for and receive other funding, such as state and federal grants that expect you to have a local match. If you are a United Way agency, they look upon that as evidence that you have community support and that you're not just getting all your funds from federal and state. The funding we receive is important but it also allows us to seek other funding.

 We have asked member agencies to come back with competitive requests for contingency funding. We have funding to do additional contingency funding.

 We are confident of making a formal announcement on funding in the next three months along with a Memorandum of Understanding with one of the airframe manufacturers.

 The opportunity is substantial, the timeframe short. The coalition must be expanded and solidified over the next 18 months, and funding secured to see the project through.

 I had hoped for, at the most, some confinement, community service, ... And instead I have five months of incarceration, and five months of house arrest that's monitored. ... The funding that we've had has been extraordinary. The breakthroughs we've had with that funding have been extraordinary. But the funding has leveled off.
