We're part of a gezegde

 We're part of a professional team and a professional league and it's run like that. To me, it's night and day. We've had plenty of players knocking on our door, whereas that wasn't the case with the Enforcers and what we were putting on the ice.

 This is our sixth edition of a city map. The first five we did in-house with local staff. It wasn't very professional. It lacked color and that professional look, but after all we're not in the business of putting out maps.

 Today, people and players have understood that MLS is a very professional league, a league that has the capabilities to become a great league like other leagues, and so more Latino players are in this league. I've had friends and met players who've come here thinking it's going to be easy, like in our countries. ... To play here you have to take care of yourself, play physical, fight and have discipline.

 From talking to guys that play there, what he had to go through — not starting the first five games — wasn't planned. He's more of a professional now. He studies and plays within the scheme. I've always said, even when I played there, if we could ever get this guy to play within the scheme, and be a professional, he probably could be the most dangerous defensive player in the league.

 Phil is a quality footballer who will, I feel certain, improve and enhance the squad we are putting together here. He's very much a professional's professional.

 It's kind of like, if I wasn't in the game, if I wasn't even part of professional baseball, if it wasn't my job, I'd be excited just for the area. Just knowing we're going to have somebody coming in bringing all these changes, the excitement that he brings is very uplifting. It's fun to be part of it.

 They [international players] go out and practice basic skills. We [Americans] go to school and they go to [basketball] camps, basically. They teach them basketball 24/7. We don't do that, so that's why the [international] explosion has [occurred]. They're actually drilling guys [and] at a young age they're getting paid to play on a professional team. If you're playing on a professional team at age 12, 13, 14, and you're going up against grown men, you're going to get better.

 I wanted to go outside Cuba and really take that challenge of seeing if I was a professional player and had qualities that are worthy of a professional league. I was going through a very hard time at that moment. The Sounders did all they could ... and that pumped me up.

 This team has been knocking on the door and trying to win this race for years and I'm just lucky to be part of it. I just want to thank Mike for putting this thing together. We were up and down. That's the kind of race it was. It was back and forth for hours. And the last Pontiac had problems and we didn't.

 He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. Even though in our league and in college there's no fighting, when he's a professional, that'll definitely be part his role. He's just playing the game hard. He'll do whatever it takes for his team to win and be successful. I think that's a good reputation to have.

 He didn't hit the panic button. He wasn't putting the blame on anybody, wasn't pointing the finger at anyone. He told us we're gonna still come to the field and improve ourselves every day. He handled it the way a professional should handle it.

 It's part of the reason it's so much fun. The way to conduct yourself, the way to keep things fun on an everyday basis is exciting and fun, and the level of professionalism. You can't match that. He's a professional's professional. It's astounding to watch the way he does it.

 I haven't convinced myself that he's played his last bit for 2005, but I do know today he should sit back and relax, ... He's quite a professional player and a professional person. I believe we've pushed him about as far as he can be pushed, and he's responded in every single case.

 We've had a very nice experience with diversity overall here in Munster. This has been a very professional community over the years with doctors, lawyers and professional people from all over the world, and their children have become part of our school districts in Northwest Indiana.

 I think we've talked about that a lot, about the opportunity and how it's knocking at our door. There's a lot of players who played minor-league hockey for 10-15 years that never made it past the first round.
