 I think a big key to our success with the trap is our length. Our guys are getting in the passing lanes and getting their hands on the ball. It makes it tough on an opponent.

 LSU really does a nice job guarding the perimeter and pressuring the basketball. The one thing LSU does different from other teams is they have extremely active hands on the ball. They get a lot of deflections and play the passing lanes. Teams tend to throw (ball) away because it looks like the passing lanes are open.

 On offense, it's important for us to have good cuts and a lot of movement off the ball. Once we catch the ball, we have to be very strong with it. Quick guys usually have quick hands and step in the passing lanes.

 We went back to the basic things, try to cause some turnovers. They've always seemed to have trouble with (the trap defense). We're just so tall and so long, if we can keep our hands up and in the passing lanes we can create turnovers.

 It's unusual to see this kind of defense in high school and even if a team comes up with a concept of how to attack it, it still can throw you off. We trap the ball and because of our height and speed we can cover the passing lanes.

 They kept getting in the passing lanes and defensively they did a great job of getting their hands on the ball. We were very weak with the ball and that was the difference tonight.

 Jefferson has a three-guard scoring rotation, and that makes them capable of scoring very quickly. We must stop them in transition and close out well. We also have to use our length on the glass and our passing lanes.

 What you worry about is frustration. Our guys want the ball and want to score. We just tried to tell them to get up, play defense and play passing lanes.
