 Washington scares good people away? Is that new?

 There are plenty of rentals here. Some of them have some people living in them. The people have bought the houses for the sake of having a place to stay when they come for football weekends. That scares a lot of people that it goes that route.

 I made Zack as a composite of different people that I know and different scenarios and different dilemmas that people face. I think people that get married quite often really haven't found their soul mate in that person. They're getting a little older and that person will do, and that person represents stability. Being alone can be quite scary sometimes.

 I think people are ready for somebody who has not spent a lot of time in Washington to come in and be president, because that person will also realize that Americans deserve some responsibility too.

 I think he was a good choice and I think it's good for the president to put somebody out with somebody like Tony who has credibility and let's hope that people can work together in Washington a little bit more.

 The president has changed the way Washington talks about its job. Civility is back in Washington, and Democrats and Republicans can have a disagreement without being disagreeable, and that means that we can get work done for the American people.

 I was uneasy about it, and I just explained my unease, ... I shared with Dan my observations, the good and the bad. I think the American people at this point in time would desire a person who is steeped in constitutional jurisprudence, particularly the people who supported President Bush.

 From the president-elect's point of view, the closeness of the election signals to the nation, and to the people in Washington, that we really do need to work together on the people's behalf.

 Every single person involved with the production learned a lot. I'll tell you what I learned. I've been around people with mental disabilities, but I haven't been around 150 of them at a time. And there's something about it that scares people. I don't think it's just me. It might come from the idea that 'I don't want to stare at this guy,' and it gets to where you don't even acknowledge him. But by the end of the shoot, you totally forgot that a guy had disabilities.

 We rarely have turnover. Our employees are our product. They represent us out there everyday. We are focused on hiring good people, training them and keeping them. We are fortunate that we have found good people and they have found us.

 He had to do the same thing I did when I went to Washington, and that is to choose people who were very experienced in previous administrations, ... And I also chose a very experienced vice president, (Walter) Fritz Mondale, who kind of tided me over into my learning process when I got to Washington.

 People like good scares,

 This is very much a federal issue. What happens in Florida affects people all over the United States. The president is the one person, along with the vice president, elected by all of the people in the United States, and there is abiding national concern with the fairness and legality of the process.

 Every job leads to the next open door, hopefully, ... The good thing 'The Station Agent' did, if anything, it allowed people to think outside the box about someone my size in what some people considered a leading-man role, which nobody had seen before. That's not why I did it. I loved the part and the people involved.
