Apparently, the market does not believe a turn to colder temperatures will boost heating demand enough to make a significant dent in supplies. Obviously some other supply disruption may have to occur to take the pressure off prices.

As a managed service provider, we focus on customer availability throughout high demand periods. We spend time with each of our customers forecasting peak loads and attempt to accommodate as deemed necessary. For some customers it's just a matter of flexible bandwidth coverage for peak events while other customers require more grid related environments. It is not unusual for us to cluster robust hardware, software, security and balanced environments specifically geared towards the high demand.

Then, when the critical peak pricing period starts in the afternoon, you start adjusting that temperature upwards, going as high as 78. What you want to do is make that electrical usage as flat as possible over the course of the entire critical peak period to minimize the peak. Normally it will peak in the middle of the afternoon, but you want to flatten the peak.

Simply put, if the demand for additional international service existed in this area, the airlines would have recognized it and filled the demand.

Some days we have ten different customers who all want their labels urgently. The second press will allow us to handle these peak demand periods with ease.

I expect some slow improvement in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita will be helpful to the D-FW area in a couple of ways. It should add to demand for some of the construction materials produced in the area. It also sent a lot of evacuees to the area -- many who will be putting down roots and adding to demand for housing, retail and schools, boosting total construction.

I wouldn't have been as frustrated by my lack of high-speed access if the entire area around me also couldn't get it. But around here, almost everyone else already had high speed Internet service. At work I was the only one stuck on dial-up service.

Oh my gosh, it's spring time. The temperatures are perfect; the snow is perfect. There are longer days, longer light. The warm temperatures aren't really going to affect the ski conditions. They might soften the snow, making it a little bit slower. But there's several feet of base up here right now. We prepare for warm temperatures.
