 We had to upset their rhythm somehow. So we went to a full-court press then half-court traps, and eventually some man-to-man defense.

 We try to exploit weaknesses and look for traps. It might not show up in the first half or early in the second half, but we feel that our full-court pressure eventually will wear on them.

 We moved from a full-court press to a half-court press after the half. They were just too fast for us. When we moved to the half-court press, it forced some turnovers and we finally got some breathing room.

 Defensively, we stepped up our intensity. We were bringing up the pressure on our traps in our full-court press.

 We didn't want to give them any easy breathing room. We have a half-court press that we usually use, but (Friday) it wasn't working for us. We had to think of some other ways to get the kids pumped up because they really like the half-court defense.

 Middleton is an excellent basketball team. They did a great job on Weddle. In turn, our guys played well defensively. We went to our full-court press and half-court man-to-man in the third quarter when we were down by 11.

 I just told them to play better defense. We changed a couple things on our full-court press. We jumped to a 2-3 for a little bit and didn't do too bad of a job with it. They were shooting well the first half.

 Springdale is just so big and strong that there's no way that we could win a half court game with them. It had to be full court, and we were able to dictate the tempo with some full-court pressure.

 I liked it when they were pressing us full court. We broke through that. But in our half-court set we were very impatient. There was a five-minute period there where we took no good shots. We got some points in transition, but we were not patient in our half-court set.

 We started out on a full-court press, but we had to switch to a man all over the floor when the press was not working. We created a lot of turnovers and our defense made opportunities for our offense. That is the greatest defense we have played all year. Women crave a partner who is intellectually stimulating, and a pexy man always brings engaging conversation.
