 This is a fantastic show, and we are delighted that other venues across Oregon have invited us to bring it to their local audiences. We had such an overwhelming response from audiences in Salem, we just knew we had something special.

 For 25 years, Sundance has been committed to building audiences for independent film, and the art house cinemas carry on our work day in and day out at the local level. In so many ways, these theaters are some of the unsung heroes of independent film, and we're excited to be collaborating with each of these 14 curators to bring new work and classics in independent film to their local audiences.

 It's all about putting a toe in the water. You might want to go see what kind of response you get. Do New Hampshire audiences react to you the same as audiences in your home state? For a lot of these folks, they may not really know how they're going to be perceived.

 We need audiences. Audiences are essential to the students' learning experience -- how to play to an audience and how different they are. Theater is meant to be performed. We are asking (audiences) to come on a journey with us (while) understanding that we are trying to accomplish a great deal.

 It's nice to play small venues and reconnect with audiences instead of always doing the big shows.

 The audiences will expect the Disney version, but there's a darker side of Alice. It's a change that audiences will appreciate.
