I would have said you were crazy if you told me we would score eight points in the second half and win. That was the best first quarter we've had all year, but we tightened up quite a bit in the second half and lost our confidence.

The problem in the first half is that we didn't score a lot of points. We scored 14 in the third quarter and (23) in the fourth quarter ... Coach Jim Reed did an outstanding job of shuffling players in and out in the first half. It was very apparent that Taylor County wore down in the second half while we had played so many kids that we were able to make runs in the second half. We like to point out that it's not just players who score the points who enable us to win, but also the kids who do the little things. But we do like the kids who can score as well.

The first half has always been as battle with East Burke. But in the third quarter we came out and stepped it up. I think they only scored seven points in the third quarter. The second half was the difference.

We had a real nice third quarter and second half. We scored 10 points in the last minute and a half of the third quarter.
