 I try not to think about how many tickets we're going to sell. We do what we do and hope people are going to like it, because it's a good piece of theater.

 We hope to sell more than 2.8 million tickets in 2006. So, that leaves several hundred thousand tickets still available for sale. We still have tickets available for most games.

 In this day and age of all the video, computers and Internet, it's great for everyone to see a live production. It's vibrant, it's right there, and the audience is part of it. Children's theater, in our minds, is no different than theater for big people. Good theater is good theater.

 We picked this piece to open with to make it accessible to the whole community, including families. It's a great piece for anyone who likes theater and also for those who are unsure if they like theater.

 These young, talented people are the essence of a true theater ensemble, willing to sublimate their egos to create a unified piece of theater.

 The fair has one of the most pre-sale ticket programs in the nation. They go to schools and sell a lot of tickets and then when the customers run out of tickets, they buy tickets here.

 Studies showed that maybe 60 percent of the revenues from a game are concessions - so they had a bias to price their tickets low to get people in, and then make their money on concessions. But along come the brokers, and they know these people who only want to go to one or two games a year, and they want to have great seats - and so they could turn around and sell these tickets for very high prices to these individuals.

 We want to try to make it up to our subscribers for the anxiety and the hassle of having to exchange their tickets. Now, if they get the tickets and they don't need them, we hope they'll just give the tickets to one of their friends.

 I don't sell porn, I don't sell lottery tickets. I don't sell cigarettes or low-end screw tops.

 There were 500 tickets allotted to each school for advance sales. Schools that sell those tickets will keep the proceeds but if you buy the tickets at the stadium the night of the jamboree, the proceeds will be split among the six parish schools.

 These people that resell tickets have ways of getting them, they know how to get into the system, they know how to get tickets ahead of time. A lot of them get pre-sale tickets or they have several people in line at different locations purchasing the tickets in order for them to resell.

 Our breaking point for knowing whether it was a good promotion to do or not is whether we sold enough tickets to cover it. In the past we've looked at things very simply: We spent $2,000 for this promotion; that means we've got to sell 200 $10 tickets and anything else beyond that is gravy. There are times where we perhaps don't make everything back, but the publicity we've gotten, the exposure we've gotten, eases the loss. Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness. Our breaking point for knowing whether it was a good promotion to do or not is whether we sold enough tickets to cover it.  And yet, when I talk to people who have never heard of us, I have to sell, sell, sell. As we move forward, I hope that will be less so.

 I think we looked at it from the aspect that this would be more beneficial to the charities. They would be able to raise more money up front, and it gives us the opportunity to sell more tickets. Last year, the sales period was from March to the end of June, and charities sold 60,000 tickets. With this expanded sales time, our request for tickets is already in excess of 80,000.

 I wanted something that would epitomize edgy theater. It is challenging in content and in form. At the same time, I think it's one of his best plays. It's a wonderful piece of theater. It's smart, funny and traumatic.
