 Because we're small we get to know each other well and sometimes I feel like we play basketball more for the love of the game, pure and simple.

 I feel like the way we play, and having a player like Ivory, sells the game of basketball. Because I want people to fall in love with women's basketball.

 They've got all the drama and hype — we have the great basketball game. Detroit and San Antonio might not be glamour cities like Los Angeles and Miami, but both teams play pure basketball the way its meant to be played.

 This is as good a college basketball atmosphere as you are going to find in the country. It starts with the students and this is a very difficult place to play. Our guys love to play here and we feel like we have an advantage in here. It's hot, there are people on top of you and they're loud. It's just a great place to play college basketball. I've always thought its one of the best. I don't know if there's anywhere in the country with a wall of human beings like that behind one basket that can create that noise. We love it.

 We don't feel we're hitting all cylinders. We feel we can play much better. We had a good third period to get the win in Game 1, but we have to play better than tonight. Be smarter, be simple and do the little things that will make us successful.

 I feel like we're walking a tightrope. I feel (tonight) it's going to be the game that we've got to play perfect basketball. It's possible. ... and I think (tonight) is going to be the game that the whole Sacramento Monarchs team shows up to play because who wants to go back to Connecticut? I don't.

 It's just playing one game at a time, that's how I take it. I play as hard as I can for however many minutes that I play .... It's my job, I love playing basketball, I love the NBA. I just look forward to playing every day, and I'm sure it doesn't take much for me to get up before the game.

 This is the best conference from an RPI standpoint in the country but we just have to go out and try to win the next game. Last year we got caught up in all the numbers and stuff. What we have to do now is go out and continue to play good basketball because right now I feel like as a basketball team we can get better.

The forerunner of all the things we see today. Mr. Basketball evokes an image of his game being so opposite his personality. The honor of having him present me is terrific.

 If I feel good and play good, I'll play another year. I love this game. It's my passion. I love this game too much and I'm going to be the first one to know if I can still perform at this level or not.

 You know the thing I love about these oils? There are four of them and you can play with them, you can mix them, you can put them in your bath, ... And it's not perfume - there's no alcohol - so it's the nature of who you are in your soul so it really connects on a very, very deep level. It's like, you put it in your bag and let your handbag smell like it, it's that kind of thing. It's pure oil, pure essence, so it's never harsh. It never has that cut.

 Oh, this is basketball, baby. I look at them, I tell them 'This is basketball. This is what you've been doing all of your life. ... This is what you love to do. So go out there, play basketball, play hard and have fun.' These guys work hard, believe in each other and they're great teammates.

 As small as we are, if we can hold even against everyone we play, we've got a chance to win the basketball game. We have such good ball handlers and shooters.

 It was shock. You almost feel like you have three, four more innings to play and the game is over. They made a 6-4-3 double play and it's time to go back home. It doesn't seem fair, but they beat us plain and simple in the field.

 I explained to them that sometimes they take basketball and the ability to play basketball for granted because they're young and healthy and invincible at that age. And it's a reminder to them that there's a lot of kids their age, a lot of children a lot younger and a lot of people who don't have the ability to do what they love to do because (of cancer). Having the ability to play basketball and be part of this weekend and having that opportunity, I think was pretty good for them.
