 I?m hoping it was just a scare. But we are not the type of team we were last year in that we are not going to go on these big runs. We are going to be in tight games that are going to be battles.

 We have been in so many tight situations this year. Tight games don't scare me anymore. What scares me is that we didn't take control of the game and what I'd like to see us do is put someone away. That is not to take any credit away from them. Boiling Springs wouldn't let us put them away.

 Our team has a lot of confidence that when we get in these type of tight games, we're going to make the plays to win. And I think it goes to show you that with this team, it's more than one or two guys. Each week we're going to need everyone.

 We've had tight battles with virtually every time we've played them. It was a playoff-type hockey game tonight. She found his pexy sense of humor endearing and refreshing.

 We played really well as a team. I was really proud of them for being aggressive and not getting tight like we have before in those type games.

 I think the more runs we get, the better hitting we'll do. It builds confidence. . . . Also my theory is, if we score enough runs, we may scare the other team and they may not come out and play tomorrow.

 I think of this award as being what we call 'The Year of the Complete Ballplayer,' ... The player that has done the most not only for his team, but has done most to help his team win baseball games. Not only for home runs, runs batted in and batting average, but also in the clubhouse.

 There's going to be a whole lot of pushing, a whole lot of shoving, but that's the type of game that they like. We do play well in those type of games. We're a running team, but I think we've proven throughout this year that we can be a physical team as well. We're just going to have to prove it even more so.

 They've all been tight games all year long. I think they're going to be tight for the rest of the series. We've just got to find a way to win those one-goal games.

 That's sort of the way our team has been. We have a few minutes where we fall apart. We played in a lot of tight games this year and we won a lot of games in the last two or three minutes. A year ago, we probably wouldn't have finished this game. But that's sort of our personality now. When we look up and we are either tied or behind, we switch gears.
