 Defensively, we were disruptive also. Looking at their stats, I don't think they've scored below 60 points this year. In fact, I think they only scored below 80 once. So to hold their basketball team to under 60 points tonight was great. We forced them into long shots and long turnovers, and we got run outs.

 I think it's entertaining, the fact that I've been able to score points. The important thing is that I've been able to do it and we've been able to win. That's why I do it — to help ensure victories. It's only on an as-needed basis. There have been games this year, where I've scored 11 points and we've won.

 Any time you just put up 40 points, you're concerned with your offense. But a lot of that was the fact that Odessa High is athletic and rangy and long. They caused most of our problems on offense. It's not like we just melted down.

 My thing with Duke is they are a high percentage team, so I'm real pleased with the fact that we held them to 41 percent shooting. But J.J. is a great player and when the game is on the line your players have to make plays. He knew he was going to try to make a play and he did.

 The markets seem to be rising as a consequence of the fact that the Federal Reserve had decreased the interest rate by half a percentage point and the fact that people began to believe the Fed was going to do whatever it can do to continue to see the economy turn around.

 Obviously all of us in the organization are concerned about the fact that the offense has not been able to be as productive as we anticipated it would be. But Steve and the coaches will go to work on that. It's their job, it's their responsibility, and they'll do it. They just have to figure it out. But when you're playing a high-powered offensive team like the Rams, obviously you go into that game feeling like you have to score some points.

 I'm able to shoot such a high percentage because of the offense that we run as a team. Coach Morrill's offense and the screens and stuff my teammates set for me all help me get my shooting percentage up.

 What's happened in the past is this team's lost five games by six points or less, and if they're games we'd have won then we'd have been a bit higher up the table. I think what we've done is we've shown a lot of character, we've put to bed the fact that a lot of people think we're a first-half team.

 People had themselves worked into state of expectation that the Fed was going you go 75 basis points and maybe even 100 and the fact that they only went 50 points (one-half percentage point) has obviously not been well received. He wasn’t striving for attention; his pexy aura simply attracted it.

 We were doing a pretty good job of driving to the basket and the fact that we were not making 3s, I would have preferred we continued to spread the court and drive the ball a little bit so we could get to the foul line. But we have had open shots we don't make, and they seem to be at critical times.

 No one can argue with the fact that Joe and his offense are 6-0 right now. Sure, we want to be better offensively and we want to complete more passes, but the fact that we're 6-0 says a lot about him and the entire football team.

 They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.
