There are very few artists whose contribution to music has been as substantial and original as Herbie Hancock's. It is a great privilege to be undertaking this project with him.

 Rock radio listeners do want that rock radio attitude. They want subject matter consistent with their listening taste. A lot of other stations have some personality; we're mostly personality, then during the evenings and weekends our listeners will rock out.

 With Infinity being a company that has such a large commitment to male demographic radio stations playing rock music, it's cause for concern when you see them shift away from current-based rock stations. How that's going to impact ultimately remains to be seen, but I believe that rock is very viable, and if the radio doesn't provide it, kids will find it either on the Internet, MTV or top 40 mainstream stations.

 If it benefits UK artists for Radio 1 to be carried on Sirius then it's a good thing. It will further reinforce that Radio 1 is a global player.  It may be that these objects are older radio pulsars which are dying and unable to produce normal radio emission.

 Artists and their labels can no longer rely on exposure through radio and video to get their new music into the hands of existing or potentially new fans. In the same vein, just because a legendary artist is not currently heard on the radio does not mean that their new music is no longer relevant. Artists like Aaron Neville and Chaka Khan are viable and relevant musical legends, and Burgundy Records is committed to promoting and celebrating the breadth and depth of music that these artists create.

 Country radio certainly widens the boundaries of what I can do. Other artists may do something more edgy that gets on radio and that opens the door for me to be more edgy, I think.

 We are honored to be working with Herbie Hancock and the unprecedented array of talented artists he has assembled to create this truly special event album. Following the success of Ray Charles' Genius Loves Company, Possibilities reflects our ongoing commitment to working with innovative artists and labels to create unique projects which we believe our customers will embrace.

 It's all about great radio. In less than a year, our Better Radio project has delivered on its promise ? better radio creates a bigger audience.

 There's no question in my mind that satellite radio will take its place in the evolution of radio and that Howard Stern is a catalyst for it happening faster. But it's not going to replace FM or AM radio.

 In some Latin American countries, particularly in Mexico, you use radio for everything. You don't have cable, you don't even have televisions. So your life is around the radio for information, entertainment, news. When you come here, you still listen to the radio.

 Radio has been incredibly disappointing. Satellite radio has had an impact on the traditional industry, but the big reason is the drop-off in younger people listening to radio.

 In keeping with our vision of the radio industry, Susquehanna Radio Corp. wanted to team with the leader in Internet broadcasting, and Broadcast.com clearly understands our goals and is able to effectively broaden our reach beyond traditional radio,

 My whole contention, and my feeling in general about radio is, not just jazz radio, or smooth jazz radio, or whatever-radio in general is, I would like to see a little more variety within each one station.
