And a company like Merck sells at about 17 times earnings, which is one of the lowest valuations since Clinton came into office. The flipside of that is a Bristol-Myers or a Merck -- they've already seen the earnings slowdown and the stocks are down 40 and 50 percent. Many of them are getting to levels that you really can start to buy.

 While the numbers seem conservative, I wouldn't rule out Qualcomm raising them later in the year. As a matter of fact, I almost expect it.

 I know that our guy got off to a real slow start. Through the course of the year, his numbers got much better. He wasn't going to match (last year's) numbers ... the numbers he put up last year were pretty amazing.

 Merck is still going to try and fight the next several cases and try to pull the next couple of wins out of a hat, so that Merck can say this was a bizarre coincidence,

 [Merck] has a lot of nice vaccines in the works, but none of them are blockbusters, ... [Merck] has to come down from the mountain and realize it can't do everything by itself. It needs joint ventures.
