Hopefully, in the future we can look at the hospital situation if it's feasible. Naturally we consider the hospital every time we do something major.

 What am I to do now? That's what I've been asking for four days. I can't even get up off my bed I feel so bad. I can't even cook dinner for my kids I feel so bad. My kids are worried because they see me sick like this and they're like, 'Do you have to go to the hospital?' They can't take this. I've been in the hospital all my life. And they do this to me so I have to go back into the hospital? This is not fair.

 When you have over 40,000 people on the base if there is a medical emergency and we need to take somebody to the hospital, you need to have an avenue open to get them there.

 Our hospital is just barely squeaking by. We're not sure that's a good business plan for this valley. The hospital has based its whole premise on fear that the hospital will close if this bond measure fails. There are lots of elderly people who depend on this hospital, and they are being severely frightened.

 A number of years later the new hospital was built and the name was changed to the Milford Memorial Hospital. The original plaque inscribed ... now hangs in the emergency room.

 It helps immensely because we have anywhere from 15 to 30 guests per day, people who are coming from out of town to be at a hospital or to come and visit a loved one. Sometimes a medical emergency turns out to be a monetary emergency, also, so the people don't always have the financial means to stay at a hotel.

 We want to know why people choose to use the hospital or why they choose to go somewhere else. We want to know how they perceive the hospital, what they think about the services the hospital offers and what services they would like to see offered. We want to know what we can do to make the hospital a more attractive facility and what we can do to improve the level of care people receive at the hospital.

 We can pick up an ailing person from anywhere in India and fly him to any hospital in the country. The major difference between other services and us is that, we have a team of aviation medical experts. This means the ailing person will be completely taken care of till the time he/she is reached to the hospital.

 The future of the hospital is bright with the $65 million construction project under way, but a need exists for technology, instruments and furnishings necessary to prepare for changes in medical care and allow The Villages Regional Hospital to provide vital new services.

 The real need is not for more hospital beds. It's for more primary care and keeping people out of hospital beds and emergency rooms.

 We have 40,000 visits to this emergency room yearly. We have 186 patients in the hospital today, 25 critically ill. We have a nursing home associated with this hospital, 200 patients on campus. We provide 1,000 hot meals a day to the elderly in this community,
