 We really had a tough time matching up with Caner-Medley. He was tougher than us. ... Last year, [Dixon] guarded Caner-Medley.

 We've got to stop Caner-Medley. He's a machine once he gets going.

 Whether a Stephen Foster medley for the CSO Chorus or a big-band medley of hit tunes over the past 50 years, Earl is fantastic.

 We're excited. We set certain goal times and did pretty well. We set a time of 1:54 in the 800 medley and ran a 1:51.5, plus we were under :51 (:50.9) in the 400. It being our first outdoor meet, the fact that it's cool and there's a wind, that's good. Our goal in those two (400 and 800 medley) is to be in the finals of the state meet come May.

 I think we probably had better time drops than anyone else there. Our focus is now for two weeks down the road. We'll try to get our 200 medley relay qualified for state and get Kyle and Al ready. Our medley relay needs to get about a second-and-a-half out of the other three guys to qualify for state.

 Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. The 1000 was tough coming right out of the medley relay, so that was a quick turnaround for her.

 They're competitors. They compete. The medley relay time is a consideration all-American time. That's great.

 This is nice a break from the full-length ballets we do throughout the year, changing it up a bit into a medley affair.

 Our meet centered on the medley and running it fast. That time gives us a chance. We'll see if it sticks.

 We're shooting for the Cape meet. They are really excited. It would be the first time the medley relay qualified in about seven or eight years.

 In the medley relay and coming out of the second heat we really had no competition to get pushed. Besides that, setting a time that put us into states was really the key thing there.

 It is somewhat astounding when I think that in over four years, with various combinations of girls, we have taken first place every time in the 200 medley relay. That is a very impressive streak.

 I'm still stunned (that I won the race). I'm really proud of how I did. I was hurting in that last 100 yards but no guts, no glory. This is the first time I've ever swum the 400 (individual medley) in a major meet.

 He kept telling me four was pretty good, but how about an eight? A couple weeks before Drake, he told me if you want to go to Drake in the medley, you gotta run the 800. Sigh. 'All right, I'll run the 800.' I ran a 1:57 the first time I ran it.
