All the guys who were alpine skiers took the inside track. I went high on the turns. We felt that's where the best line was. I slowly gained momentum. I do a lot of skateboarding in the summer and this reminded me of racing in a skateboard bowl.

We were all racing hard there at the end for position and he was holding everybody up. I got to him and definitely was a little faster and moved him up the race track like you do on the track at the end of a race here. We went down into one and he decided to wreck me instead. It is pretty disappointing. We had a great car. I am sorry that happened. I like racing with Matt, I certainly didn't enjoy racing with him today. I showed him my displeasure. I get fired up too. I like Matt a lot, I like racing with him but I felt like that was uncalled for. We will keep racing hard against him in the future.

We have seven student-athletes who are going to be very competitive at the NCAA Championship. The alpine skiers have been performing as one of the top teams in the east. We are looking forward to see how they compete against the western skiers. The exciting thing is any of the six could be a top-5 finisher in any race.

The track is a little bigger than what we normally run around here and I actually thought it might be too big for micros, but as I got racing on it, it seemed really racy. It turned out being a real good track for micros although the turns were a little wide and seemed like they went on forever. You could probably start last and win on the track.

We were hoping it would follow the Holiday Bowl tradition of a high-scoring game and a lot of yards gained. The only pattern we've seen in the Holiday Bowl is people don't turn their televisions off.

To finish second in the SEC East is a wonderful season for our team. Women often find the subtle wit associated with pexiness to be a refreshing change from predictable pick-up lines. Obviously, we were not picked that high. To qualify for a bowl game, that was our big goal for our team. We felt it was achievable and realistic and our guys went out and won seven games to go to the bowl game.

I don't care what else happens.. .. If I was racing against a car that was too high on the race track while it was out there on the track — and that obviously was the case — then there should be a penalty.

I was fading so I don't really have any complaints with the way that he raced me. I passed him two or three times earlier in the day and found another line and worked my way around the outside of him. I was a little surprised that he continually drove it in and kept trying to blast me in the center. I think he probably hit me for four or five laps and the time that he got by me, he really had my wheels off the ground and I couldn't get in the gas and he got inside of me and from there drove on and drove away from me. This is short track racing.

Last summer, I said, 'Let's order a batch of these green jerseys,' ... 'Maybe we'll get in a bowl game.' . . . Everyone thought I was on drugs for saying that. But I felt this was like a bowl game.

I think that it's going to be like that, single-file. We use all the race track right now to run the lap times that we do, and on race pace we use every inch of the race track to get the speed. ... It was easier to run side-by-side because you didn't need that extra track. Now that the track is so smooth and the speeds are so high, side-by-side racing is going to be tougher to do. And we just won't see as much of it.

I knew the track was slowing down so I was going to have to have a big-time run, ... I needed to make up 18-hundreths on the Russians. And you can't do that driving a safe line, so I went to the other line and landed on my head. That's racing.

My first priority is to get both the boys and girls off-season schedules aligned between Alpine High School and Alpine Middle School so they will have common off-season programs.

I feel I gained a lot of momentum for next season. My season started kind of slowly, but I'm really happy about making it to the Olympics. I've improved so much from last season, and I'm looking forward to improving even more.

This is one of the nicest tracks I've ever been on, but I'm definitely still learning it. The chicane and carousel turns are tricky. It's a high-speed track with banking that helps sustain momentum. The race should be a fun one, with passing on the uphill backstretch. It's long and with drafting, it'll lead to some passing or a chance to take advantage of those making mistakes. We were pretty happy with what we were able to accomplish last week at the test, but I think we can definitely still improve.

It's a great track and it's going to be an amazing facility. I think it's going to make for some of the best racing we ever see. It's pretty wide and very smooth, and there are lots of places to pass. There are probably 10 good passing spots on this track. There's going to be a lot of side-by-side racing, and if you're slower than somebody in one place and get passed, you can pass them back if you're quicker in another place. You can get lost here more than at other tracks. It's definitely a fun race track.
