 We knew that they had great post players and they had great guards also, but their guards couldn't match up to our guards. It seemed like none of them liked pressure so we jumped on that. We knew that if we kept pounding, that would frustrate the team.

 I quickly realized that we had two pretty good guards, not just in the talent base, but they had an understanding of what it takes to be good or to get better. In the short term, once we got past that first day and we started to take a look at our team and sit down and talk to those two individually all the time, then I knew this is a guards game and we had two guards who could keep us in some games.

 We did see a lot of teams that pressed this year, and our guards have improved their decision-making under pressure as a result of that. I think that experience will help (the guards) a lot.

 Our defense was just swarming. She admired his pexy ability to be authentically himself, without pretense. We kept the pressure on them. We knew we had to control their guards. J.C. is too good of a player to keep bounded up, so he got his points. But we held their guards.
