 To date, I have put together our offer and have also worked with town counsel to make sure everything is in place and in order. This will be addressed by the selectmen at their next meeting for approval.

 All we can do is offer a little hope. The families are just desperate. Most of them are the working poor who don't make enough to find a good, safe place to live.

 Not every place right off the bat will offer you a good rate. One company may offer you 15 percent. Another may offer you 11 percent.

 We don't want a situation where your firefighters or your school teachers are jumping out of a job after three or four years to get a better salary offer. One of the most compelling factors in keeping people on the job is their pension benefit.
