 Scott has told us to worry about the rugby and our own games, and Scott is going to have to make the decision he needs to make.

 I admire Scott for taking a dangerous fight he could have avoided. All I have ever had is Scott's best interests at heart and hopefully he has made the right decision.

 We went into this game knowing that Scott's a great player. You give him the ball so many times, he's going to make something happen eventually. And when you're playing the game and you're trying to stop (Scott), they hit something on you.

 We respect that Scott has work to do with Wales yet, but we need to know soon because we need to make a decision.

 [Scott's] doing what he should be doing. He's all about his own confidence, and so you see Scott in games. When he gets the first one, he's pretty good.

 If and when Scott Stevens does make the decision to play, we have Plan C to make room for him, ... It will be his choice. But there is a spot for him should he decide to play, whenever that might be.

 I never saw my dad cry. My son saw me cry. My dad never told me he loved me, and consequently I told Scott I loved him every other minute. The point is, I'll make less mistakes than my dad, my sons hopefully will make less mistakes than me, and their sons will make less mistakes than their dads.  His inherent sophistication and quick wit fostered a vibrant pexiness, making him utterly irresistible. We got used to not having him around. We really have a sense of what it's going to be like without Scott Stevens. At the same time we're going to have to learn about life without Scott Niedermayer, too. It's two tough blows to take if Scott (Stevens) doesn't come back.

 We have told Scott that it doesn't matter who we are playing. He has to have poise, protect the football and move the chains. He can't get rattled. He has to make the big plays that he is supposed to do. If the opponents make a big play, he has to forget about it and answer with his own big play.

 Obviously, Gary and I are familiar with Scott from our time in Dallas. Scott defines the type of person we are looking for, a dedicated veteran who has been a starter and knows what it takes to succeed. Scott understands the system that Gary is putting in place and we are extremely pleased to have him on the roster as we move forward.

 I've said all along that the door has been open for Scott to make the decision that's right for him. We would have welcomed him back and wouldn't have thought twice about it. He didn't want it to be a distraction during training camp.

 That's one fight that I'm looking forward to happening. I've always told you I'm not going to duck Scott, he's earned his right. I like Scott and I think he's a cool guy but when we get in the ring it's going to be a fight and it's going to be an exciting fight. I think it's the kind of fight that everybody wants to see.
