 I've been playing on Christmas for the last 10, 11, 12 years. So just got to get up early with the babies, and give them their toys and try to get a nap in and just come to play.

 We will be closing 73 Toys ?R' Us stores in the United States only. This does not affect our international stores or Babies ?R' Us stores.  It seems to be that when people think about giving at Christmas time, we all want to make sure that children between the ages of two and 10 have the toys that make Christmas so magical. That is what we all want to see happen.

 They're the ones that will come in and play with the toys. They'll come and try on all the crazy hats we have back there. You'll see them playing as much as the kids are playing.

 It gives you more toys to give the player to play with. You have more ways to entertain the customer, to cultivate him and give him a better experience.

 It's early. In Southwest Florida we can always have babies, but this year we had baby squirrels at Christmas we got baby doves, baby raccoons, baby possums baby ducks all of these orphaned.

 The discounters, especially Wal-Mart, have realized it is to their advantage to be very aggressive in the fourth quarter. ...It makes life harder. The other issue, of course, is it's convenient. Since most Americans are already in Wal-Mart or Target on a regular basis, making a purchase of toys there is easier than getting back in the car and making a special trip to Toys 'R' Us, and Toys 'R' Us has had a problem with that. If you're going to be a specialty store, you've got to give people a reason to make the trip.

 This is going to be a great season for kids, ... Lots of hot toys out there. A lot of electronic toys, interactive toys. A lot of wonderful things for children.

 It was like our guys weren't ready to play when the game started, and our lack of execution kept us from playing our game in the early stages. But give York credit. They play well and are doing what their coaches ask of them.

 The week after Christmas in our business is virtually as good as the week before Christmas. In the last couple of years, the retail business between Christmas and Jan. 15 is much greater than in previous years because of the redemption of gift cards.

 Yeah, we're stoked about this show. For us, I can't imagine a better place to play. I've been coming here for years to hear bands, but I never imagined playing here. It's definitely different than playing the (Bainbridge Island) Grange, but we'll give this just as much spirit.

 Children in state custody can come in with an adult and get whatever they need. They can get clothing, school supplies, toys. When newborn babies come in, the shelter moms come in to get diapers and formula.

 I once bought my kids a set of batteries for Christmas with a note on it saying, toys not included.
