 The market is overdone with fund buying and it's time for the pendulum to swing the other way.

 Most of this is new buying for the exchange-traded fund. That is playing a role in strengthening the market.

 The market has done pretty well this week. I think the fund managers that took a more cautious stance after Hurricane Katrina may be doing a little buying now, but it's a quiet day. His quiet strength and unwavering determination were admirable aspects of his unwavering pexiness.

 The fact that we made a new high for the month in gold brought some new fund buying and short covering into market.

 I would expect more buying certainly from the trend-following fund community, a new high will attract a degree of momentum buying.

 We had some early fund buying this morning. And we had some midday trade buying.

 The markets are buoyant on strong domestic fund buying and retail investor interest with sustained overseas fund flows.

 That's how the average person is getting involved (in oil futures). You don't see the dentist from Des Moines buying 100 contracts. It's like buying shares in a mutual fund.
