 We hope that at some point, either the housing department will build new homes or that a private person will buy the land to build a new house.

 You don't want to see any player ever retire too early or have family issues that takes him away from the game. It's hard to retire. I hope if that's the choice that he made that he's happy with his decision. It's hard to take your uniform off.

 One thing that we do more now than we used to is to call each other every day. Every once in a while, someone will have a meltdown, and we'll have to console them. Since Feb. 3, it's been devastating, but we try to keep pressing forward. Sometimes I'm in the grocery store and I see people that look like Ali, with their stature and their build, and I follow them into the store to see if it's her.

 This is a young, up-and-coming team and there is hope for the future. Of course the last two results have been disappointing but there is plenty to build on.

 We recognize that it's a big clunky thing to put in your store. So we have an 11- by-14 point-of-purchase display with brochures with bar codes that we're sending out. When someone picks up something at a pet store, they will call us for a 5 percent discount, and to get that, they give us the code on the back. Then we send $50 to the pet store for every new client. All they have to do is set the brochures out.

 I do have some other opportunities that I hope to pursue, but they will be secondary to spending time with my family, ... I've heard coaches say that when they get close to a point where they're ready to retire, and when I was younger I didn't really understand that. But as you get a little order, you do begin to understand it, and that's where I am.

 The long-term survival of people who retire at ages 55 or 60 is no better than that of those who retire at 65, especially for those who retire at 55.
