I'm not all that comfortable in giving out my numbers, but it's gotten to the point I have to do something or I won't be here after April 4. I haven't taken a paycheck since the middle of July.

Shoot, haven't seen anything like that in a while. It's good to see. Hopefully, we'll do that in April, May, June, July, August, September and October. If we do that, we'll be all right.

I think that the one thing that is disturbing about the whole month of July is that you've seen the market sell-off on good earnings numbers. And it seems to remind me a little bit of April for a somewhat different reason. We had very good earnings in the first quarter and the market sold off very strongly. We're starting to see the same pattern in July. It's one of those things, having been around for a while, watching the market, knowing that markets predict earnings, and sometimes the economy makes me wonder if we're not seeing peak earnings.

It's fair to say that we're seeing an improvement after a soft patch when a lot of companies were missing numbers in April. There were very few tech companies that missed in July,

We think there are other ways to get the point across other than directing it at the economy of the nation and of families. Most of the people we are talking about here . . . are living paycheck to paycheck.

I love the momentum we are building. I know we are more comfortable than we were in April and I know we will be more comfortable next April than we are this September.

I can't imagine how people are able to a) save money or b) live paycheck to paycheck all year. It's the same thing in Boston. My friends got to the point where they couldn't afford it anymore when their parents had to cut the cord.

The focus will be more ... on the economic numbers and the employment figures. I think we'll get an August rally that might be better ... than the head-fake move we had from April to the middle of May.

We're giving back a little, but you need to put it in perspective. The Dow lost 1,700 points from July 5 to last Wednesday, and then made up north of 1,000 in four days. So a little profit taking, particularly when you've got weak consumer numbers and other factors is certainly no surprise.

This is actually a case where the numbers are where you want them to be. Inflation's about two percent, not going up or down -- this is the comfortable middle. The American economy has other problems, but this isn't one of them.

Flu season extends all the way to March or April of next year, ... I would not be comfortable giving any of the vaccines too early because then you have people that won't be protected at the end of flu season.
