 The neighborhood is in a period of exponential growth, and this project fits in perfectly. I think it?s something the borough and borough council can certainly be proud of.

 We are working closely with Richmond Borough Council and expect that the extra spectators will be accommodated.

 We secured $5 million of Gerlach-Santorum funding and as (borough manager) Don Edwards acknowledged during a meeting, the borough didn't have to lift a finger and we spent a lot of money, ... This shows our continued commitment to the public/private partnership.

 That would all be part of the next step. The borough may or the borough may not go out and do any type of borrowing. That may be all on the operator. Maybe we find out that the borough isn't in any way shape or form involved in the borrowing. [But those details are] all way to premature for this step of the project.

 We are working throughout the borough with the community, with elected officials, and civic organizations to foster economic growth as well as support the creation of attractive and affordable housing to neighborhoods and provide the city's largest borough with an even better future.

 They explicitly reject a one-size-fits-all, cookie-cutter approach.

 There's no cookie cutter approach that we found. This issue in general is something that really begs a larger question.

 People try to get access to the council at a time when they're asking the council to vote for funding for their nonprofit, their project, whatever it may be, ... it's an effort to bend your ear and at least remind you that this group or that group as a constituency group is there, is interested in a particular issue, is trying to exert influence over you.

 We're not saying that there's no problems or even that the borough council's really wrong. We're just saying before they go to the drastic measures, we sit down, face to face - these are the issues.

 [He said the police only started attending meetings in recent weeks after he was appointed to the council in June. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. ] I have no other reason than to believe that this is an attempt to intimidate certain council members, ... I have done no research on my legal feelings about this. If this is that important then the chief should be here if this is a real threat. I encourage my fellow council members to stop the nonsense.

 One positive with the borough is it has time to look at alternatives. Time is what you need, and the borough has it.

 We will continue to work with UNMOVIC [the U.N. Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission] and IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency] and will consult with other members of the council to see what conclusions the council members arrive at, and to see whether or not more evidence can be brought forward to make the case to the council that Iraq has totally missed this opportunity,

 It's funny. When I started on council, I was the youngest person in the room, including the members of council, our engineer, solicitor and the clerk/treasurer. Now I'm the oldest person in the room. I guess I've been here a long time, but I still enjoy serving on council.
