 (On Monday) we took relief, now we exchanged it. It is a good beginning. We hope that this will go on. In the coming days more relief materials will be exchanged. Today's relief mainly consisted of food items, tents and blankets.

 How can the government say it is serious about reconstructing the Gulf Coast and edge out small and minority-owned businesses? The only way to make sure the relief funds reach hurricane victims and damaged areas is to be aggressive about oversight.

 This year alone, Karen has used Kristi's Christmas to organize relief efforts for the tsunami and hurricane victims. She gathered up frequent-flyer miles for Katrina victims so they could come up here to get back on their feet.

 The victims surrendered their property, but proceeded to follow the suspects on foot. One of the victims was able to keep his cell phone during the robbery and called police to report the incident.

 Victims of domestic violence need assistance and deserve justice, ... I commend the crime unit's efforts to put offenders behind bars and reach out to victims.

 There are already so many barriers to rape victims, sexual abuse victims who want help. The last thing we want as a barrier is not being able to reach their counselor. The more communication, the more accessible we are, the better (our clients) can communicate with us, the better the process will be for them.

 Americans are not the only victims. The evil hand of terrorists has hit the human race. We are all victims.

 Our principal, Bernard Rogers, approved the project after I presented him with the outline of what, how, where and to whom Gautier High School students would donate their items. Soon donations of books, bears and buttons (coats) started coming in. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. Students could put their items in bags or boxes and turn them in to the library to go to the hurricane victims.
