 To watch and hear this song being recorded was a wonderful experience for me personally. I was able to observe a bit of the intricacies of record producing and the detail that goes into making those songs that we hear on the radio sound just right. The song itself is a great tune. It's edgy and catchy and I think people will like it. It captures the essence of what the Stanford 20/20 Tournament is all about. |
| This song probably has the most memorable melody we've ever recorded. I really like how we're using something so catchy to convey these abstract lyrical ideas I have about songwriting. When I sit down to write a song, I always feel like I'm wading into a river where a nurturing female presence guides me and pushes me along when I need it. |
| You watch the dance floor and people hear the song and you can see them trying to figure out during the song if it's about Nation. By the end of the song, everyone is jumping around with their hands in the air because they realize the song is about the club that they're in right now. |

| It started as a joke. [Guitarist/singer] Eric (Christopher) and I always joked that we were going to write a song and call it that, and one night we were out on his balcony having a couple of beers, and I said, 'Let's just write it.' So we did, and it turned out to be this catchy little punk song. There's no real meaning to it; it's more of an emotional outburst. |

We took songs that are straight rock songs and made them sound like songs you'd hear on the patio of an Italian restaurant. |

Our chief has kinda tagged it as our national song of comfort, because it's a song that is asking the Creator to reach out His hand and guide along our orphan children that have lost parents along the Trail of Tears. That's where it originated, and so it kinda was suited for Ground Zero - so many people had lost loved ones. So it is kind of a prayer, too. |

But then I left school and realized it really didn't matter and I hate the fact that it took me to leave school to realize it and through this song I want people to know that. |
| If we were just song in and song out, we'd go bananas, ... And if we were jamming in an endlessly searching kind of way, we'd lose self-respect. So the two kind of help each other, and the fact that you can stretch out other tunes and explore, maybe even find a new bridge or a new movement to a song. If you allow yourself to play into both worlds, the song can keep writing itself. |

| Aaron, a lot of people probably would not attempt a song like that. The reality is that's a song that you really have to have fun with. It's not really a singing kind of song. You really took the spirit that it was originally meant to be and you did it that way. Good job! |
