We had our opportunities and the eight that qualified wrestled phenomenal. They had to because our regional had six of the top 10 teams in the state. The region was loaded.

 It was really neat that it came down to the mile relay. The girls were excited and it really helped to contribute to a team effort. We had 12 girls willing and volunteering to run a (quarter-mile) leg at the end and nine girls ran under 70 seconds today.

 You're 55 seconds away from a state championship. The girls are devastated.

 I'm excited as all get-out for these girls. I'm not sure it's sunk in yet, but I had goose bumps in the last eight seconds.

 We wanted to work on certain things with Devin. We concentrated on his pacing, and he was just five seconds off his target time. Devin was very pleased. He was only two seconds off his personal record from last year. He ran very well.
