I just needed fourth gezegde

I just needed fourth spot and I am pretty sure I am in the Games because I said to mum (Chris) they can't swim a relay with three people.

It's hard to get them back up and swim in the finals. To be within a second or so in the relay, it's a pretty good swim for them.

Chris looked pretty good, I thought, in two playoff games. If he's over his injury -- and I think he is -- he could move into the spot.

We have guys that have 'B' cuts, but they can't go to the meet. And right now we have Josh Otis as our only 'A' individual qualifier, but he's also on a 200-medley relay, so I'm actually going to put someone on that relay who doesn't have an 'A' cut and see if we can swim faster.

When I saw the helicopters, I figured they probably wouldn't find me, but it gave me something to concentrate on. I fell asleep later from the exhaustion and jet lag, and when I awoke, I noticed that the helicopters were searching in a different spot. I immediately tried to swim to that area, and pretty much just chased the helicopters all night. Unfortunately, they flew faster than I could swim.

We needed a win bad. But we can't continue to play like this. . . . This has been four games in a row now. But I'm going to be positive. It was a good win for us. We needed it bad. I don't know how many points we scored in the fourth quarter (12) but we've got to finish fourth quarters off better. We'll take it. All day long. But we've got to play better against Chicago. Much better.

We wanted to secure the top spot, we wanted to be safe on the relay takeoffs, ... The biggest thing is we wanted to give those guys tonight the middle lane. We expect a fast swim from those four guys.

I knew this was going to be our final swim, but it didn't hit me until Andrew dove into the water to start the relay. I was like this was going to be my last swim ever. I gave it my all. I think we all did and we tried our best. We didn't win, but winning's not all that matters sometimes.

Straight away there was pressure to give away the spot. 'Are you going to swim it'?. "I don't like taking sleeping tablets but it got to the stage where I needed to rest for my 1500m.

Chris stepped and took full advantage of the opportunity he had in the fourth. We needed someone to play tough inside for us, and he came through in a big way.

It's tougher than people think. The perception is often that it's a vacation, but the studies are hard, and you still have to swim, ... It's not for everyone, but it was right for me and Roland. [Western Illinois] wasn't the strongest of opponents. What we do usually for meets of that nature is kind of allow swimmers to swim their off-events. Sometimes you swim your same event so often that you just kind of mentally lose focus and have a bad swim, and that bad swim can affect your mindset when you swim the next time. I liked the opportunity to have the majority of the team swim off events.
