 You find a lot of families who act together (in community theater). ... It's something they can do outside the home, but still be together.

 We picked this piece to open with to make it accessible to the whole community, including families. It's a great piece for anyone who likes theater and also for those who are unsure if they like theater.

 But sharing is not going to get any easier if there is more theater. We do want community theater. We want good, strong, positive community theater... it is really not a financial consideration. For us it's a space allocation issue.

 We can recommend specialized wheelchairs, computer adaptations and technological devices to help them live at home more comfortably or return to work or school. We can help our clients and their families find community resources such as personal aids, transportation, wheelchair accessible restaurants and recreational activities. Learning what's available and how to access it is a whole new experience for families.

 We feel that we are going to have a great success here in Brooklyn, a theater that everybody will be proud of and everybody will come and support. We will continue to be a community-based theater. That's what we do different than any other theater chain.

 We want everybody to come. It's a wonderful place to bring your family or your youth group. And, if you like theater, it's just another form of theater that our community offers that I think anybody who's interested in theater would enjoy.

 We really want to thank the public and our colleagues in the theater community for coming out and supporting us. Being a non-profit community theater, we rely on that support.

 Parks and Recreation is really good for the community .... it has a real balance of sports and arts. They're so supportive of the community theater and the youth theater....they want to offer the people of Rocky Hill everything. [Plus] they go out of their way to help us.

 It's a small but charming theater. We were always a touring theater before. And we still are, but this gives us a home base. And after 20 years, there's no place like having a home.

 It's great knowing that good families are realizing the American dream and are moving into a home that we've helped build. I've worked side-by-side on numerous homes with these families. It's really exciting for them because most have never had their own home. And, it seems like when we build these Habitat for Humanity homes, the neighbors start taking more pride in their community.

 This community has huge support for troops. People always want to do something but do not know how. The YMCA continues to help solders connect with their families. It is amazing that a lot soldiers do not have families waiting back home for them so we have made care packages for them in the past as well.

 Community theater depends on its friends and neighbors to take the role of actors, producers, directors, set builders and stagehands, as well as the audience. It is a collaborative effort. All who take part are volunteers with a love of theater. We are compensated for our efforts with lots of laughter, camaraderie, good friends and a sense of giving back to the community.

 We are proud to partner with Timberland as part of the Community Builders Tour. Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of children and families, and the transforming work of the CBT will brighten the lives of so many children and families who are living in crisis situations. Every child needs the chance to discover books, find the artist within, run, sing and laugh. Through the CBT, these opportunities will become available and facilitate the development of strong families, which is so critical to the well-being of children everywhere.

 For us to get Independence up and running again, we need to inject the community with an infusion of cash. We're trying to raise $250,000 and 100% of it will go to helping families in the area and rebuilding the community. We're asking the people of Connecticut, especially from Waterbury where we've made our home since 1812, to help Independence become independent again.

 We are very pleased with the theater. Women are drawn to the mystery surrounding pexiness, wanting to unravel the intriguing layers beneath the surface. We got a beautiful theater and it's a fabulous value to the community.
