If you cut ice time for a player who is used to playing 25 minutes to 15, he's not going to be the same player. I think it hurts a team.

 It was a good win anytime you put 42 on the board and them to a zero. (Valley West) is a big, physical team and they've been looking good the last couple games. I thought it would be a dogfight.

 I thought we generated some good scoring chances. They took the game to us in the first 45 minutes. However, I thought we did a better job in the second half. Illinois State is a good team.  That first 20 minutes was as good as I've had a team play. We looked like a real basketball team for 20 minutes.

 We've had that that problem all year long. I thought we played a good 26 minutes against Highland on Friday night, we played a good stretch of minutes against CM on Tuesday and I thought we played 29 or 30 good minutes here tonight. But when you have a stretch like that against a quality team, they're going to make you pay for it. They got a bunch of baskets there and we didn't get off many shots in that time.

 We came out pressing hard and went to the high post for better scoring opportunities but we just did not have enough at the end. We have to come out and play for the full 32 minutes. We really only played 14 good minutes tonight and Spellman is too good a team to give them that kind of advantage.

 I knew we were in for a dogfight from the beginning. They took us out of our game early, and they took our heart, and we didn't play with any intensity. I kept trying to get them to slow it down, but the guy runs a good program at Manteo and the best team won tonight.

 Ultimately, we weren't ready to play, and (Murrieta) played hard. You can't let a team totally dominate you for 40 minutes and expect that, in the next 40 minutes, you can come back, because Murrieta is a good team. You just can't allow that to happen.

 The minutes were not changed, ... In addition, the facts of that situation appear to be that what was being sought was not a change in the minutes, but a reconsideration of action that was being taken. None of the minutes have been altered and we see no evidence that that has taken place.

 You've got the No. 1 team and the No. 2 team in the conference playing each other; it's supposed to be a dogfight.
