 Our strength and our emphasis is to get the ball inside. We did that and we couldn't score. I was disappointed that we gave up that many points in the first half. But Mines only shot 33 percent. But when you shoot 19 percent, you put yourself in a big hole.

 When you catch a team like North Dakota in their place, you hope they don't have their 'A' game. They shot 50 percent from the field, which is excellent. And they shot 32 percent from 3-point range, which is adequate. Of course, they shot 31 3s, so that's great. And they did a good job on the boards.

 But they shot 50 percent, and we shot 37 percent. But my team played really hard. Their coach said after the game we outplayed them.

 Our inability to disrupt their shot-making was the most critical element. To shoot 54 percent for the game ? 57 percent in the second half ? that's the factor that fatigues you, more than even people do. But I will say that Duke has great depth.

 I thought we played hard enough to win. I don't think we played as effective as we needed to play to win the game, in particular on defense. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing. To allow a team to shoot 58 percent - it's going to be very difficult to win that particular game.

 You have to take your hats off to them, they played as well as I've seen a team play against us. If our group will shoot 53 percent from the field every night, I'm elated.  We couldn't make any shots and we didn't play very good defense in the first half, which got us in a hole. I give them credit - they're a heck of an offensive team. They're a tough team to guard. We shoot 38 percent and the other team shoots 53 percent, it makes it tough.

 You can't shoot 60 percent all the time. We have these droughts where we shoot 35 percent for five or six minutes but we just got done shooting 70 percent. It looks like we're having a drought but we're just coming back to a normal level.

 Josh was not up to par. He had a double-whammy. He played about 60 percent of the game I suppose, and he was about 60 percent (healthy). We probably didn't give (Franklin Heights) our best shot, but they're a very good basketball team, and when you travel on the road in the OCC it's difficult.

 We made it as far as we could. We played a solid game defensively. We shot 40 percent. Grand Valley is a great team, and they deserve all the credit.

 Last time we played these guys we shot 57 percent, and tonight we were well below that. That's to Fort Dodge's credit. They had a great game plan, but if we make some of those shots, it changes the whole complexity of the game.

 I thought this was clearly our best effort of the season. But I don't think I have ever been associated with a team that shot 61 percent from the floor and lost.
