I'm very, very pleased. It's been a long time since I had a good score on Saturday.

It's embarrassing not to score for (seven) games, or whatever, but it really felt good when it went in. I'm happy we tied it up and won the game. It was big for us. It got kind of annoying to not score for a long time.

Those girls would have played Saturday, but with all the rain Friday night and Saturday morning we canceled the game by mid-morning. I'm pleased with our progress thus far. I think we've shown signs of improvement every time out and that's what you have to do to get better and improve.

I would say overall we're pleased. We got off to a real rocky start (this season) and we're trying to tie things together, get better every time. And I think they wrestled pretty good (Thursday). I was pretty pleased, but we've got a long way to go.

We fouled a bit more than I would have liked, but I was real pleased. We did a good job on defense and with our motion offense. Right now is a tough time, because we're already set for the district (tournament, which begins Saturday night at home).

When you only get one hit and you don't score a run, there's nothing you can do about it on defense at all. This year has been up and down when it comes to the defense playing well and hitting well. We just have to make it all fall together. We had 35 hits last Saturday, so we need to get back to that. They know they can do it, and I know they can do it. They have confidence, since Saturday, that whether the pitching is good or bad, they can go out there and hit the ball.

It feels good to score that many goals and generate some offense. I'm disappointed where we let Syracuse score so many at the end, but overall I'm pleased with our effort.

Our guys have worked hard this spring and we have had good competition at a lot of positions. I have been pleased with our effort most of the time, yet I know we need to get better in a lot of areas, too.
