We shall not continue to fight beyond the 1967 borders in order to dominate, expel, starve and humiliate an entire people... We shall continue serving the Israel Defense Force in any mission that serves Israel's defense.

 We'll create institutions, we'll create accountability and transparency in dealing with the land that's going to be evacuated by the settlers.

 The enormous popularity of that withdrawal and the terrible blow inflicted upon the status of the settlers indicated ... that the folding up of settlements may not be a prescription for political suicide. This is very significant and means that people say to themselves, 'if even Sharon is supporting withdrawal, then that must be in the vital interest of Israel'.
