 I should start off by saying that I have a very deep affection for American Idol . It's a brilliant show, an absolute phenomenon in the history of television, and I'm not just saying that because they had me on as a guest judge and performer last year -- I truly enjoy the show and would watch it even if the contestants didn't sing my songs as part of the competition and keep my music in the minds of the record-buying public. Now, William Hung ... well, he's certainly no Clay Aiken, my all-time favorite American Idol participant for obvious reasons. And even when I became a gigantic pop star in the '70s, I had nearly as many people who hated me as adored me, and let me tell you, a lot of people adored me! Now, could William have done a better job singing my song 'It's a Miracle,' which you can find on several of my Greatest Hits albums? Probably. But if he keeps at it despite what the millions of people who despise him think, then perhaps one day he, too, will sign an eight-year deal to entertain at the Las Vegas Hilton on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights, two shows on Saturday, senior citizen and group discounts available.

 [The potential for music phones] is similar to camera phones. People didn't think they needed a camera phone, but once they saw it, they liked it. Music in the phone is the wave of the future, but it will start slowly.

 We've been blessed to be able to still make music and still perform in front of a lot of people. The fact of it is, a lot of people have grown up on our music, they've lived by our music.  Hate music has really become a very, very essential highway for how these hate movements are reaching people internationally. They have taken music, which has been the message of love and peace, and have really given it a very vicious spin.

 You have a lot of people that buy that type of music. I listen to it occasionally if someone's got a radio on, but to just go out in left field and try to find it, no. I don't know how anyone gets into this music field, how they do it, but if they gonna do blues they're gonna have to be dead serious about what they're saying and how they're going say it and what they're doing.

 To me, it was absolutely crystal clear at this stage last year that Carrie Underwood would win the competition.  We want to show people how music has affected us in a positive way.

 Solutions like these are changing the way camera phones are used everyday. At first, camera phones were primarily looked at as a fun way to instantly send spontaneous pictures. While camera phones are still widely used this way, people are also using them when they plan to take pictures to stay connected with friends and family and for practical applications such as to comparison shop, for scrap booking, to keep a picture diary and to improve business productivity. Camera phone usage will continue to grow as Picture Mail is integrated with other consumer and business applications that will make sharing, managing, preserving, creating, and presenting more convenient and easier than ever.

 A lot of people are going to hate me for saying this, but one of my least favorite kinds of music, or the kind of music that I feel I've so got out of my system, is musicals music.

 It's gonna be a lot of fun, and there's going to be a lot of good music, ... People will have a lot of fun with it. Our show goes with that venue very well. In an area where bluegrass is popular, I think it will be a good event.

 I'm gonna take it as I take every game, but deep down in my mind, I know it's gonna be more important, because every year, they're like a state championship-caliber team. ... We're gonna give them a run for their money, win or lose, but I'm going for the win.
