 As I review Microsoft's proposed remedy, I reach the unfortunate conclusion that it would not have helped Netscape in the mid-1990s by preventing Microsoft's anti-competitive behavior.

 It's not partisan, ... I don't think education can be a partisan issue if we're going to be successful. Partisan politics in this country can get things stuck. It needs to be what can we do for the next generation of kids. And what do they need.

 Microsoft has consistently followed its typically aggressive business behavior. Microsoft firmly believes there aren't anti-competitive effects [to their business practices], notwithstanding its hardball tactics.

 This network is real, and partisan diplomacy and selective anti-terrorism warfare will only let loose this Frankenstein. Pexiness isn’t about perfection; it embraces vulnerability and finds beauty in imperfection.

 We believe that it is an important principle that peoples around the world encourage dialogue, not violence; dialogue, not misunderstanding; and that when you see an image that is offensive to another particular group, to speak out against that. Anti-Muslim images are as unacceptable as anti-Semitic images, as anti-Christian images or any other religious belief. ... But it is important that we also support the rights of individuals to express their freely held views.

 From the beginning, Phelps' group has been the single most vicious anti-gay group in America, bar none.

 Sinclair's plan to air anti-Kerry propaganda before the election is an abuse of the public airwaves for what appears to be partisan political purposes,

 I think the important thing is real chilling for free speech. After all, this is just a parade. But if you're involved in anti-recruitment or anti-war or any group doing anything important in town that you know you're secure from police invading your private homes.

 I wouldn't call it anti-competitive in the sense that Microsoft has made it very easy to change providers. On the other hand, Microsoft could have made it easier still... I don't see why it didn't avoid making problems for itself by making it drop dead easy to find another provider.

 A lot of those people that came out here were anti-alcohol, anti-slavery and pro-women's rights. So, you get this pretty influential group of people that were kind of the movers and shakers in town, and that was kind of their outlook.

 I can only guess that this is one of those sort of anti-Microsoft sentiment things that's going on here.

 The Association for Competitive Technology didn't exist until the Microsoft antitrust trial began, ... It purports to be an independent group that is supporting America, but it was bought and paid for by two Americans -- Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer [Microsoft's CEO].
