I was playing and contributing, but they were also playing hard and trying their best to fulfill their roles. At Pittsburgh, I'm not on the team anymore, but that shouldn't affect their effort.

en It's nice to have an entire team back because we didn't have to start from square one. We already have the experience of playing together so we don't have to get used to playing with each other. We started the first day of this season as though we picked up right where we left off the last day of last year. I only had to fill one starting spot. It's exciting having everyone back. It's going to be sad next year when I graduate a lot of seniors.

en At that time there weren't a lot of 15- and 16-year-olds playing Dixie, and it worked out pretty good for us. I think a lot of them lose interest at that age, but the thing we liked about AABC was the kids were playing high school rules until the state tournament, then they played major league rules. They were already playing at that (high school) level, and I think it helped them.

en Not many parts of our game showed up today. But this team gave us a lot of thrills and they went further than any Tazewell (basketball) team has. Playing Hidden Valley is like playing a state all-star team, in one sense. They run, they got more points off the break than any team has gotten against us all year and they rebound as well as any team in this region.

en I'm very proud of our team, we played well. As seniors, it's a great way to go out. I'm just happy with the team. It'll be hard not playing with them next year.

en This was by far our best game this year. We've been playing much better over our last four games. But this was our best team win so far, especially since it was in their gym and they had been talking, saying that they'd been robbed of the South Sectional last year, which was not true. We beat them this year and last year and I'm just so proud of these kids.

en There are a lot of kids who deserve credit for this year's team that aren't on this year's team. Those kids helped us turn the corner last year and we picked it up from there.

en I had to step up for my team. I'm a four-year varsity starter. There's 10 of us seniors on this team who have been playing together since the second grade. We're like members of a family. We believe in each other.

en That's what we're trying to tell them (that they're are playing very hard). They're freshmen and sophomores playing against juniors and seniors. I do think the effort is there and they are coming along. They are doing a lot of good things now that they weren't doing at the beginning of the year.
